Short announcement


Applications are now open for flood victim students from Pakokku, Sinbyugyun and Seit Phyu towns

We would like to offer our donations for those students who are flood victims in Pakokku, Sinbyugyun and Seit Phyu towns. The students can directly apply for the scholarship by emailing to admin@seitmeeain.net. For application requirements, please see

One application is now open. Applicants who meet the following criteria can apply for SSP scholarship now.

(i) Applicant must be an orphan and currently residing in Burma/Myanmar.
(ii) Applicant must be currently conducting undergraduate engineering course in GTUs or a fresh matriculation graduate who will be joining undergraduate engineering degree in one of GTUS.
(iii) Applicant who is doing computing courses may also apply. However, priority will be given to engineering student in case there is more than one applicaiton.

Only an amount of 3,500 MYK (= 58 SGD = 48 USD)
is required to support a university level engineering student in Myanmar. If you are interested in supporting one, please contact us.

If you do not want to support student by student basis, you can still contribute whatever amount of donation to us.

About Us

FYI, Seitmeeain Scholarship Programme, SSP is a non-governmental programme founded by a group of engineering friends who use parts of their incomes and fund obtained from the donors to support engineering students in need of financial support.

The requirements for the students are:

1. Documentary proof from the school or the parents stating that the student is really facing financial problems to finish his schooling by any means.

2. Documentary proof from the school principal or department head stating that student has no criminal record and has sufficient potential and ability to finish his/her schooling.

3. It is deemed for undergraduate students only.

4. Continuation of scholarship will be based on the result of student's progress. For the continuation of the scholarship, (i) students must maintain the current class rank and promote it, (ii) Students must take a progress test organized by SSP. Students must obtain at least a satisfactory level in the progress test.

5. Students are expected to join Seitmeeain Scholarship Programme later after they finish their studies and start working.

6. Current students are expected to contribute to SSP when they start working. Their money will be used for supporting new generation of students with financial problems. In this way, Seitmeeain Scholarship Programme, SSP will be strengthened from generation to generation. This is to promote access of newer generations to the higher education.
